In order to deliver jewelry that will satisfy our customers, all second-hand items are refinished to make them look like new.
Scratches, stains, deformations, and discoloration caused by wear and aging can be repaired with a new finish to make the item shine like new.
New finish processing process
If there is any distortion, the ring is inserted into a rod called a "core metal" and then balanced with a wooden mallet so that it is round.
Any small scratches or dents in the base metal are removed using a Dremel tool to smooth out the surface.
Finally, we polish the entire piece to bring it back to a like-new shine.
If repairs are required
If a product needs repair, we will ask a craftsman to replace the gemstone (diamond, etc.), check the prongs, or replace any defective parts. If the plating has peeled off, we will perform a "plating finish," so we can handle a variety of base metals.
Before selling, we inspect the products strictly by professional eyes.
All of Takamasa's products are carefully inspected one by one by experienced staff. To ensure that customers can use our jewelry with peace of mind, we have a process in which multiple staff members look over each item, and only jewelry that has passed our strict checks is listed for sale.
When we purchase used jewelry, we check every detail to make sure that the diamonds and other gemstones are in good condition and that there is no damage. If it is a branded item, we check the engraving and inspect the accessories.
